Submissions Closed - Dactyl Issue 2
--------------------------------------------------------------
The first edition of Dactyl launched at Summerhall in Edinburgh in December 2013 to much acclaim. We have now closed submissions for our second issue scheduled for print publication in Summer 2014. The theme is Time & Space.
Submission Guidelines
Please feel free to interpret the theme as literally or laterally as you wish. The possibilities are endless - here are a few ideas to get you thinking:
Proximity, location, the universe, an omission, isolation, distance, a feeling of freedom, greatness, claustrophobia, clocks, an agenda, creating order, coincidences, generations, the past, the present and the future, age, an occasion, antiques, progress.
We would gently advise that we are not seeking to publish a science fiction journal, and work which interprets the theme of Time & Space more widely and creatively has a higher chance of being selected for publication.
As a not-for-profit labour of love kinda venture, we aren't in a position to offer payment to our contributors, but we offer a free electronic copy of Dactyl 2, an invite to the exclusive launch party in the Summer for you and your guest, and the promise that we will work hard to promote your work.
